Week Five

Not much news this week. I hurt so bad from my fall last week that I have spent the week recovering. Finally starting to get to where I can move around. That’s it for this week. Feel free to comment below.

Week Four

This week was hard. The first part of the week went normally. Just the basic grind. Then Thursday came... On Thursday I had to go to the clinic to see my psychiatrist for a medicine check. First they had me see a nurse on the opposite side of the clinic, to get my vitals. Then, I had my doctors appointment which went well, but she wanted blood work done which meant a trip back across the clinic. I finished that and I was exhausted. I came back to the waiting room and found a seat. Dad asked if I was ready to go cause he needed to run by his job to shut it down as there was major flooding across the entire town. I told him I had to rest so he left me there to run by his job. I sat for probably an hour before he got back. He and another gentleman had to help me up off the clinic’s couch I felt weak. We headed out to the van. I lifted my foot to get in the van and that’s when it happened... All strength left my legs and I collapsed like a wet noodle to the hard wet concrete. Several worke...

Week Three

So I continue on with the grind. Standing as much as I can, working with my dumbbells as my hand allows, I think I fractured my index finger, and eating healthy.  Had a bad anxiety attack last night that got so bad I hyperventilated and blacked out. Not sure what triggered it but it lasted for hours. Been kind of depressed this week remembering the 9/11 tragedy, and the brothers in arms that were lost that day.  On a positive note at the end of the month we move into our apartment and I am hoping my walker will be able to navigate it better than I have been able to at my parents house. The goal is to leave my room every day.  That’s it for this post as always feel free to leave any questions or comments below. Please make sure to tell me who you are if you are offering help. Thanks for reading.

Week Two

So this week was a bit rough. On Monday, my legs gave out while I was standing, and I fell. Managed to sprain my wrist, and hurt my back. Despite this, I made myself stand every day. I even walked to the front of the house on Thursday to meet with my caseworker from the mental health clinic. I tried to make healthy choices when I ate and watched my portions. So, for the most part, the physical side of my health was ok this week. I did have some nightmares, reliving accident scenes. I watch in horror as there is nothing I can do to save the people. So I would say my mental health needs some more work. That is all, for now, feel to post comments or questions below.
