So, about a month ago, my wife moved out and served me divorce papers. I anticipated it, but it caught me off guard and put me in a financial bind. I am recovering from this blow. On top of this, I can no longer get my GLP-1 medication, as it is no longer covered by insurance for weight loss. It felt like everything was starting to unravel. As usual, when things start to crumble, God shows up. My roommate was allowed to work part-time as one of my caregivers, and my caseworker was able to get me a few more hours of in-home caregivers. This has eased the financial burden in the house. I found out that my insurance will cover bariatric surgery. I had an appointment with my doctor to get a referral to a surgeon, whom my sister used. I am taking steps to get things in order, to wit, I have a financial screening with the surgery center on Monday. I am also following up with the facility that is getting me a wheelchair that will make it into my bedroom. The PTSD nightmares have been in...

Time For Faster Progress

The Push is Real I’m going to start rehabbing faster and harder until I an out of my bed and mobile again. I tired of not being go see friends plus I’m moving in a few months and I can’t do that from my bed. I’m doing well in school, especially considering I do all my work from my phone. My iMac won’t run the software, so my phone is my only option. I am going to start trying to blog at least once a week, with special updates on occasion.  On the divorce front, she keeps saying she will file, but no action. So, I guess I’m going to file on her. I’m working on the paperwork now. I am ready for this to be over.  My leg wound is healing up nicely, and is forming a heart shaped scar. But it’s still going to be a few months before it’s closed up.  As always thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. Peace and much love.

Shoot me a message Any help is appreciated First I know it’s technically Tuesday morning I fell asleep when my muscle relaxer kicked in. I’m sorry.  Now I have been cut back to one set as I am not really strong enough for two just yet. I guess one of the dogs slept on my legs wrong because I did everything including my leg sweeps, but when I started leg lifts with my good leg by the time I got to ten I could barely move it and wanted to scream. I couldn’t even manage one lift off my bad leg. I guess I am going to have to have assistance with those.  Other news I can’t remember if I posted on Friday, the coordinator for therapy came out and did my evaluation and she said I have a lot more range of motion and continuing therapy would help. So they are trying to get two more months approved.  Please send prayers and comments or anything else you think will help. Please share the blog using #makemikemobile
