Guess who is back?

So I owe you all an apology for going dark, but I was going through a lot. I will spare the details and focus on the positive. 

My doctor retired during my absence but his last act was to get physical and occupational therapy restarted for me. My new doctor is great and just as supportive and helpful. He got me a manual wheelchair so I can learn to transfer out of my bed. 

Now to the picture; with the help of my therapist and my roommate I sat upright on the side of the bed for the first time in almost three years. I have been trying to sit up at each therapy session, and although I heed to brace myself on my walker I can sit upright for about ten minutes. I do need help to sit upright and lay back down, but it’s getting easier. 

Part of the problem is my hospital bed went out and insurance says it is too soon for a new one. We are working on a solution. I will keep you updated.
